Ernest Mejia, P.A.
Ernest Mejia trained at Touro University Nevada Physician Assistant Studies Program in Henderson, Nevada, where he was among the top of his class. Growing up in National City, California, he always had the desire to return home and serve the community where he was raised.
Ernest has had diverse medical experience prior to becoming a physician assistant. After graduating with honors from the University of California, Irvine, he volunteered in several free clinics and children’s hospitals throughout Orange County, while also working as a medical scribe in one of the busiest emergency departments in the state. Prior to beginning his physician assistant studies, Ernest worked in a high-security laboratory researching influenza and other respiratory diseases.
Outside of medicine, Ernest enjoys exercising, traveling, and composing music. He is fluent in basic Spanish and speaks conversational Tagalog, and he continues to strengthen his language skills in order to better connect with and care for his patients.
